It was winter 1992, Indias tour of Australia was always a epic battle to look out for.The odi series started off between the mighty teams.Indian Cricket Team introduced a young left handed batsman and commentators started saying " Here comes the youngster Sourav Ganguly". He scored 3 runs in his one and only innings during  the year 1992.The world never saw him and media printed some articles alleging that he had, ‘attitude problems’.It seemed like his short international carrier had ended with in no time. Sourav had a dream FC season which ultimately  helped him in earning a place at Lord's test during 1996 and rest is history.
Sourav scored a brilliant test debut hundred and overnight this young champ transformed himself into a shooting star.

Sourav Ganguly International stint can be divided into pre  2003 and post 2003.Sourav Ganguly emerged and developed the dynasty with style.Be it the enormous 183 vs SL in the 99 wc or the all round performance in the Pepsi cup or the 5 year spell as the captain of Indian cricket team which changed the face of Indian cricket team.

In 2000, when Ganguly took over as skipper, he inherited Indian cricket in the midst of confusion and a crisis that was triggered by the match-fixing controversy. Everyone lacked thought process in the team with no plan and no actionable ideas. Everyone understood this is the time to bring a new change In Indian cricket.India had found a new cult figure about whom tales would abound and be passed from one generation to another. In 2002, the bare-chested Ganguly stunt on the Lord's balcony was definitely  game changing  moment of his captaincy. Being a aggressive captain Sourav never believed in Orthodox norms and it never mattered whether it was Lord's – the Mecca of cricket.

Team India had shown a tremendous achievement during the 2003 Cricket World Cup in South Africa. An appearance in the final had come after a long gap of 20 years and Ganguly was the toast of the nation. Finally Sourav had been placed in the same league of  was being Kapil Dev and Sunil Gavaslar. Sourav Ganguly's century in the first Test at The Gabba in the 2003-04 tour of Australia was indubitably the game changer moment of his playing career and still considering to be one of the best turnaround in his prolific carrier.

Controversies surrounded the Indian Cricket again during 2005 when Ganguly was sacked as captain and was on  verge of dropping from the national team which resulted in severe protests throughout India and Greg Chappell became a national villian in the minds of people who loved the bengal Tiger.

The following story is nothing less than a fairytale when Sourav  Ganguly returned into the side with never say die attitude  as he ended up being the second highest run scorer in tests and fifth highest run scorers in one dayers in 2007, thus cementing his legacy in the cricketing folklore forever which doesn't need to be written in Record books.

But the end seemed to be imminent. The day arrived on  October 7, 2008 – two days prior to the start of the first Test against Australia – Sourav Ganguly told a press conference that this series would be his last in his international carrier.

Sourav as a player was brave enough to take up challenges and as a captain Sourav always stood for his players.Sourav served the Indian cricket with dignity and left a legacy which could helped the other captains to follow.

The name Sourav Ganguly, will remains a myth in India. His attitude, passion, dedication,never say die attitude,aggression, determination are part of a topsy turvy journey that encouraged millions around the world.The Chants Dadagiri will forever be remembered as an emotion in the minds of people who considers cricket as a religion.

Mohanlal - Happy Birthday Legend

 Mohanlal the Actor from PATHANAMTHITTA who always dreamt of becoming an actor and he pulled off with ease turns 59 years old .

Mohanlal our own (lalettan) had the big thing in him when the maestro debuted as a sadistic villian in Manjil virinja Pookal in 1980's.1980's saw the evil side of lalettan  but during the late 1980's he  turned as a hero and, in a series of mid-’80s slice-of-life everyman comedy dramas, quickly became one of Kerala’s twin cinematic poles (the other being the handsome, born actor Mammooty).

Mohanlal does not does his homework before he works. His homework seems to be naturally manifesting in him.Mohanlal was always brilliant when it comes to transforming from one character to another.

The magic of Mohanlal lies in the fact that the superstar is  clueless about his own stardom  He remains an enigma not only to the world but to himself as well.The biggest strenth of lalettan is the fans of his.The humbleness,love,affection towards his fans makes him the best among the lot.

  Survival of the fittest means a lot in any film industry, . With that kind of an personality and that kind of an anatomy, I would say this will no longer in the case of lalettan.

Best of Malayalam Film 2017 - Top 12 in a Nutshell!!

1. Takeoff

Definitely the best of 2017 - Never again never before!!! Mahesh Narayanan's masterpiece which evinced one of the best movies ever made in Malayalam film industry.The real-life situations of Nurses who got cornered in Iraq during the course of war was demonstrated with so ease.Parvathy who came up with the carrier best performance deserves standing appaluse.Fahadh And kunchako has been simply brilliant.Take off is winning hearts all over India for the content and quality the movie is enriched with. Definitely wins the podium in 2017!!!

2. Parava

The soul of the movie is one and only Soubin thahir.The cameo from Dulquer had Indubitably given extra boost to the movie. Parava was all about how two young kids train the pigeons for a sporting event in fort Kochi. The actors have given their maximum, which makes the movie a must watch. The cinematographer is simply outstanding who steals the show with his outstanding work.

3. Angamaly Diaries

The movie which came up with 80+ new comers have been the surprise package and are undoubtedly one of the best piece of work by Lijo Jose. Angamaly was captured in never seen avatar which was captured exceptionally well. The climax part was the main positive of the movie as  the entire shot  was taken at a go  which received positive reviews from the critics. The raw and realistic group from Angamaly is definitely my No.3 in 2017.

4. Mayanadhi.

The  movie released during the eve of Christmas has been getting rave comments from the critics. The movie is all about Maathan and Aparna who are the strength of Mayanadhi. The realistic instances have been accepted with both hands by the audiences and the climax portion is still a huge disappointement to the audience. The music department deserves special credits for the kind of tunes they came up in mayanadhi.Mayanadhu will be remembered as one of the best romantic thrillers ever made in Malayalam.

5. Thondimuthalum

Dilesh Pothen and fahadh join hands for the second time and come with a gem of a film. Fahadh faazil have been terrific once again and this lad is going heights with his natural acting. The realistic acting by fahadh had already helped him in attaining sundry of awards from the critics.

6. The Great father

Mammootty's top notch performance ensured the movie to be a must watch in every sense. The movie did prodigious run at the box office and mustered with huge in numbers. The movie handled a social message which was very  lucrative in conveying the message to the audience. Mammootty as David ninan was the core element of the movie and the energetic performance from the actor helped the movie to be a grand success.

7. Rakshadikari Baiju.

Undoubtedly the Darkhorse amidst the releases in 2017.The movie evoked a lot of nostalgic moments amidst the audience. The movie will Indubitably recall your childhood memories as the heap of nostalgic moments are damn high. Biju menon has been superb once again and special applause for his timings - Bang on!The movie is definitely  a gem!!!!

8.   Ramleela

Ramleela was one of the most anticipated movies, and the movie tasted humougous success at the box office. Ramleela is Indubitably one of the best political thrillers made within recent times. Ramleela substantiates that the real-life controversies have never  feigned the  box office power of Dileep. 9.Solo

The anthology movie by bejoy nambiar is definitely one of the bravest attempts in Mollywood. Malayalam industry urges such exertions and kudos to bejoy for the brave attempt. Althaf's debut venture has been hugely successful as the movie received huge positive reviews from the critics. The movie was made in a completely different avatar and  the powerpacked performance from the lead actors made the movie must match irrespective of age gap. Shanthi Krishna's resurgence into movies was indeed a worthy comeback as she  did an fantastic job as a cancer patient.The climax portion of the movie will indubitably make you think as the message has been conveyed  in the best possible manner.

11. Munthiruvallikal Thalirkumpol.

Mohanlal - In full swing!!! The ever romantic mohanlal recoils once again. The family oriented movie is unquestionably in my hit list. The Mohanlal- Meena's duo once again was so sweet and the chemistry between the duo deserves special appaluse.The movie is definitely a must watch for those  who considers Family as Top most Priority!!!

12. Sunday Holiday.

Definitely another Surprise package among the releases of 2017. Asif Ali is one such actor who had a terrific year as an actor. The movie with lots of twists and turns is unquestionably a must watch for the masses. The movie had a lot of trices which will stay with you interminably.Asif Ali and Siddique comes out with some spectacular performance which makes the movie worthy enough to be the best of 2017.

Queen - A Dream Debut in every Sense

Queen - Indubitably hits the bull's eye. This is how you make the movie with tenderfoots and it must be a learning curve  for the upcoming tenderfoots. Queen is winning hearts with terrific bookings in Single screen as well as in Multiplex. Queen have assayed that it doesn't  constrain any catastrophic overdose of sexist jokes to be a successful venture.

Queen has opened to Houseful shows in the ball park of  every screen where the movie was released. The notable theatres like Kairali - Trivandrum, Sree - Thrissur,Anu- Changanaseery,Kairali- Calicut and Savita : Kavitha- Ernakulam had opened with terrific status with excellent occupancy. The choated team deserves the credit for the kind of hard work they endured for a long period of time.

If reports are to be believed, then vintage Salim Kumar is back and delivered some  insane stuff. The inform Salim ettan is simply wow and we got the old salim ettan through Queen. The team was very much triumphant  in portraying the college life of mechanical engineering students without any Boredom. The crowd went wild and the  atmosphere was electrifying when Mohanlal's name was  enumerated in the movie. The crowd was on their feet when a song was made on  Lalettan. Yes - Lalettan is Indubitably an emotion for Malayalees.

Overall Queen is indubitably  the clear winner among the releases in terms of occupancy. The hardwork and temperament of the entire team have finally paid off. The full credits should be given to Lead actors who made the colorful movie a huge hit. Go for it - Be a part of the History!!!

Women in Cinema Collective- Deserves the Limelight for being So stupid???

ONE YEAR AGO THE GROUP WAS COMMENCED WITH A GOOD INITIATIVE - Said by the so called Group who tardily turns into an state wide comedy clumps.The so called WCC was forged in order to look after the women who were impaired with inequality in the society.Indeed that was excellent move but at the end of the day they fizzled and  tend to create issues unnecessarily.

When Ramleela was released they ordered " NO one should watch  the movie to show our demonstration against the lead actor who acted in the movie.When movies like Mayanadhi and My story impaired similar issue they just took a U turn and beseeched  that " Please don't kill movies on the basis of personal grudges.This is what you call Double Standards.

It all embarked when Parvathy reprobated Mammootty for acting in a movie where she thinks KASABA is all about disparaging Women with several misogynistic dialogues .The stage  became detrimental and created headlines.Parvathy once again towered the issue and created the spurt unnecessarily.The sudden spurt should have been kept aside but in lieu of this feminists is making a mockery out of the issue.

They once shared a blog where the Blog was all about scathing Mammootty.The headline of the blog was indubitably a insult to the legendary actor.The stardom of Mammootty was enough for the group to dethrone the post with in quick time.The instant rating of WCC's Fb page is around 1.5. Aadu 2 - Return of the Iconic Gang

Aadu 2 have tasted immense triumph as the movie has been consecrated as the Xmas Winner by miles.This is the first and foremost time a sequel to a flop movie is tasting such humongous reception all over Kerala.This is indeed a rare record in the Indian film industry as the movie is shattering all the expectations and turning out to be a Blockbuster.

The much impending return of Shaji Paapan (Jayasuriya) has created huge waves all around Kerala.Aadu 2 too deals with how unexpected and unfortunate affairs are faced by Shaji pappan and team.The films takes a U turns when Shaji pappan and co decides to take part in a Tug of war competition.

Jayasuriya as Shaji Pappan has been the core element of the movie.Jayasuriya has seen in a never seen avatar with superb energy and has been the soul of the movie.The atmosphere in the theatre has been electrifying as ever.The crowd went wild whenever they saw Jayasuriya with the iconic BGM.Aadu 2 has raised the stardom for Jayasuriya and the kind of reception the actor got in the theatre has been the prime example.The last time when a actor got such reception in the theatre was when Mohanlal acted in the movie Pulimurugan.The double shaded Mundu has already sired immense  triumph like the costumes of Pulimurugan.

Vinayakan as Dude has been terrific with the comic timing and added another feather into his cap.Vinaykan deserves standing applause for the kind of performance he showcases in the movie.Sunny Wayne as Satyam Xavier received such applause from the audiences but the actor lost his charm in the sequel.

Overall Aadu 2 is an in and out entertainer  which lacks gumption but if you are hunting for laugher riot,then Aadu 2 is the visual treat during this festival season.Go for it!!!!

THE KING - THE EXTRA BONE IS STILL A REVELATION

Mammootty as Angry young man has been always a visual treat for the fans.The king released in 1992  sent the  entire generations irrespective of gender into delirious excitement.

The one name locking prominently among the List of respected and never forgotten IAS officers will be none other than Thevalliparambil Joseph Alex (Mammootty).Many youngsters were deeply inspired due to the fearless attitude and the way he handled corrupted politicians and bureaucrats with gumption.The sexiest outburst against the newly appointed sub collector was welcomed by the audiences.

The fights and tussle between Joseph Alex and Shankar IPS (Devan) and the scene where Joseph Alex says " Da pulle!!!! Ee Azhichu ittekunna ee mundu undallo,Ithu yeduthu Aanugalle pole madakki kuthanum ariyam Joseph nu " was one of the most notable scenes in the movie.

Yes !!! I have an extra bone!!!! Very Well said by Joseph Alex.22 years of an extra bone and the savage performance by Mammootty created huge adrenaline rush and the desire to make changes in the society through Thevalliparbil Joseph Alex.
